Youth Ministry

The youth programs at ACC seek to provide a place for 7th to 12th graders to come together, leave the stresses of school behind, be themselves, connect with one another on a deeper level, explore important themes and topics, engage in service projects to help those in need, and, most importantly, to have fun.   Over the course of the year the different groups participate in retreats, service trips, fundraisers, overnights, discussions, and many other activities.

Everyone within the appropriate age range of each group is welcome to attend all ACC youth events. It doesn’t matter whether you belong to the church, belong to another church, practice a religion other than Christianity, or practice no religion at all. It doesn’t matter whether you go to Acton schools, go to school in another town, go to private school, or are home schooled. All are welcome regardless of physical or mental ability, sexual orientation, gender expression, race, ethnicity, or economic means. There is no cost to participate in ACC youth programs. All are welcome.

It is the goal of the church that all who are willing can participate fully in all ACC youth events. If you ever encounter a barrier to you or your child’s participation in ACC youth programs, please contact associate minister Andrew Harris (andrew@actonc.org, 978-263-2728 ext. 109).

ACC Youth Ministry Mission Statement

The Mission of the Acton Congregational Church Youth Ministry is to nurture the growth and acceptance of Christian faith in youth, individually and communally, by providing opportunities to learn about and to experience:
  • The work and presence of God and Jesus Christ in our daily lives,
  • The power of the Holy Spirit to change, inspire, and transform,
  • The value of Christian friendship and community,
  • The importance of sharing God's love by helping and serving others in the larger community.
