For 36 Years, the ACC Congregation has Contributed Gifts to People in Need
Our 2024 Mitten Tree program is well underway! In its 36th year, this tradition connects generous members of the Congregation with those in need. Each person receiving your gift very much appreciates your thoughtfulness, time, generosity, and prayers for this ministry and the recipients.
This year, there are three separate sign-ups available for each of the coordinating organizations.
Red Mittens are for gifts for children being served by Massachusetts Department of Children & Families. Please wrap the gifts in one box using the red mitten (name side up) as the gift tag. Tape securely onto the gift with the child's name showing.
Green Mittens are for donations for a family from Lazarus House in Lawrence through Project Bethlehem. Tape the green mitten securely onto the gift with the child's name showing.
Gift cards: Place cards in a little gift bag or box.
Household gift card and Family Game: Place gift card in a little gift bag or wrapped box.
Toys or clothes: Wrap individually.
Place gift receipts in an envelope marked GIFT RECEIPTS and do not attach them to the gift.
Yellow Stars represent gifts for senior citizens/adults of the Acton Council on Aging. Purchase a $30-$50 gift card from the merchant shown on the star. Place the gift card into a Christmas card with your written greeting on the Christmas card. Do not seal the envelope.
How to return gifts to ACC:
Drop off in Hartman Hall on Sunday, Dec. 1st, or Sunday, Dec. 8th between 10:15 and 10:45 am.
Drop off during weekday Church Office hours. Please ensure that your gift is clearly labeled with a stickie note including your name and the number and color of your mitten or star. We will add the "real" label on the 8th.
