Week by Week We're Adding to the Festive Decor of the Sanctuary

There's so much going at ACC this Christmas Season!

The Christmas season is upon us—a time filled with joy, reflection, and anticipation as we journey together toward Bethlehem and the baby in the manger. At our church, this sacred time is marked by traditions that enrich our faith and bring our community closer together. This year, we invite you to join us in meaningful moments that will prepare our hearts to celebrate Christ’s birth.

We start on December 1st with the addition of the Advent wreath, symbolizing the beginning of our countdown to Christmas. Each Sunday, as we light another candle, we are reminded of the growing light of Christ's presence in the world, even amidst the darkness. This is a beautiful time to reflect on the hope, peace, joy, and love that Advent brings to our lives. We will finish this special day outside, as we light the exterior Christmas tree.

As we approach December 8th, more greenery will appear in the Sanctuary in the form of wreaths and the official arrival of the interior Christmas Tree.

One of the highlights of the season is the Children’s Pageant on December 15. This cherished tradition allows our youngest members to share the Christmas season with us in their own heartfelt way. Be sure to bring your friends and family for this special event—it’s a moment of joy you won’t want to miss.

By December 22, the sanctuary will be filled with the vibrant hues of poinsettias, generously donated by members of our congregation, in remembrance and celebration of their loved ones. These flowers, symbolic of the Star of Bethlehem, will grace the church with their cheerful beauty, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere as we approach Christmas Eve.

This Christmas season is truly a time for everyone to come together, celebrate, and reflect on the incredible gift of God’s love. We look forward to seeing you throughout Advent and sharing the journey to Bethlehem with each of you. May your hearts be filled with the peace and joy of the season!
