Our Family Ministry strives to create a safe, affirming place for all children to explore what it means to live as Christians and do God’s work in the world. Children are invited to think, play, imagine, discuss, question, serve, and create as they grow in their knowledge of Christ and confidence in themselves.
Our Family Ministries program encompasses all children from birth to age twelve and their families. We provide opportunities for Christian Education, children’s fellowship, and intergenerational faith relationship building. Family Ministries is primarily focused on our weekly Sunday School classes during the school year, but we also help organize several annual events such as Rally Sunday, Trunk-Or-Treat, Advent wreath-making, and the Christmas Eve Family Service.
Sunday School
Sunday School: Grades K-5
Children in grades K-5* are invited to attend ACC’s Sunday School program starting on Sept. 8th. Come to the sanctuary for worship at 9:30am. After the Children’s Message, join us in Room 108 where we’ll use crafts, games, experiments, and more to learn stories about God’s love for us and for the entire world. On some Sundays, we might share what we’ve learned with the rest of the congregation during worship. We don’t have Sunday School on 3-day weekends or school vacation weeks, but your family is always welcome to join us for worship!
*6th graders are welcome to attend Sunday School or JHYF depending on where they feel the most comfortable.

JHYF
Junor High Youth Fellowship: Grades 7-8
JHYF (Junior High Youth Fellowship) is open to anyone in grades 6-8. We meet every other Sunday at 5pm starting September 8, 2024.

Join us for games, challenges, and activities designed to boost confidence and remind you that you are a beloved child of God no matter who you are! You can expect a service project, a lock-in, and other special events that we will plan together. JHYF does not meet on 3-day weekends or during school vacation weeks, but you are always welcome to join us for worship on Sunday mornings!

Confirmation
Confirmation Classes: Grades 8
For those in 8th grade wishing to further explore concepts of faith, we offer a Confirmation class that meets a few times a year and culminates in an overnight retreat. We’ll assign mentors and ask questions with you as we share this journey together. On Confirmation Sunday in June, participants will have the choice of joining the church.
SHYF
Senior High Youth Fellowship: Grades 9-12
HYF (Senior High Youth Fellowship) is open to anyone in grades 9-12. We meet every Sunday at 7pm in Room G02 starting on Sept. 8th. SHYF is a space where you can be yourself without expectations. Come as you are for games, deep discussions, and the occasional pizza feast. SHYF does not meet on 3-day weekends or school vacation weeks.
