The next day at JHYF we celebrated March Madness with some crazy games of our own, including ninja tag, zombie tag, and 52-card stickup...sort of like 52-card pickup but a bit more challenging.,

On Saturday, March 22, ACC's confirmand class visited the Islamic Center of Burlington to learn more about other faith traditions. We attended the 1:30 pm prayer service (one of five daily services during the month of Ramadan) and sat with Imam Shakil Rahman afterward. We had lots of questions and Imam Rahman was very generous with his time, given how busy this period of time is for him in the Muslim calendar. Afterward we went to the nearby Shake Shack at the Burlington Mall for discussion, French fries, and shakes (of course). 

The congregation got together to celebrate Rev. Paulo França's years of service with the Church and to wish him well in his next chapter in ministry in Illinois.

After a presentation of gifts during Rev. Paulo's last communion service with ACC, everyone gathered in Hartman Hall for some festive food, fellowship and good wishes.

Our Annual All-Church Congregational Meeting on Sunday, January 26, 2025. We all gathered to hear reports from several of the committees, take important votes, and welcome our new moderator, Tom Gillispie. Janette Blackburn, who completed her term as moderator at this meeting, was presented with our thanks and flowers to acknowledge all her hard work.

JHYF members, Ryan, Russ, and Julia went bowling at...yes, you guessed it, the Acton Bowladrome.

We also took some time to play a few of our favorite arcade games, including air hockey and stomp the spider (we don't think anyone fell for the "game" where you try to pick up a stuffed animal with a robotic arm). Hard to capture good action shots but here are a few!
