Worship
Frequently Asked Questions

When are services?

Currently, worship is in person and streamed live every Sunday morning at 9:30am on Facebook Live. Click here to view our Facebook page and tune into our worship services. Services can also be viewed after they air on our Facebook and YouTube pages.  Sign up for our newletter and recieve the links every week for bulletin and our streaming service.

What are services like?

Sunday service is usually an hour long and consists of announcements, music, prayers, scripture readings, a sermon, and an offering collection. Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month and all are welcome to partake. Paper bulletins are available with the order of worship and any information needed to participate, such as the words of the call and response. Please note that a majority of our service is spent sitting and listening respectfully in silence. Bibles and hymnals are available at every pew.

Worship music is primarily hymns played on the organ and sung by the choir or the general congregation, supplemented by our bell choir and other individual performances.

Do I have to dress up to attend Sunday service?

We hope you come as you are, dressed in what makes you feel comfortable. At ACC we have no dress code.

Do I have to stand up or say anything during worship?

There will be times when the congregation is invited to stand and sing or participate verbally during the service, but participation is voluntary, and individuals may choose to abstain at any time.

What do you offer for children on Sunday mornings?

Sunday School is offered for children through grade 6 most Sunday mornings during the school year. Click here for more about our Family Ministries

Does your church celebrate Holy Communion?

Yes, ACC typically celebrates Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month. We believe that all people are welcome at the table of Christ and that there are no barriers to God's grace. All are invited to participate in the celebration of Holy Communion, yet no one is required to.

Yes! ACC is an Open and Affirming congregation. All are welcome here.

Is there a youth group for teens?

Yes. Click here to learn more about our Youth programs.

Do I have to donate money to the offering?

We do not expect first-time visitors to contribute financially to the church, though donations are always welcome if you feel moved to make a contribution.
