Caring Ministries

"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."
James 5:16

Submit a Prayer Request

Prayer After Worship Calendar

Prayer

Prayer Chain

Our Deacons and other volunteers from the congregation are available to pray each day for those in need of prayer. Requests for their support may be emailed to prayer@actonc.org (click on the link to the left), discussed directly with one of our ministers, or submitted using one of prayer cards available in the Sanctuary. Requests will be sent to the members of ACC's Prayer Chain by one of the pastors, and the team will hold in prayer those so requested. These prayers are kept confidential if requested, or the need may be shared with the congregation via the "Please pray for" section of the announcements and/or by the pastors and Deacons.

Prayer After Worship

Prayer After Worship Team

After each Sunday service anyone who desires to receive prayer is invited to join two prayer team members who will pray with you in complete confidence about any joy or concern, large or small, that you might have.

After the first service you'll find the prayer team downstairs in the Conference Room.  After the second service the prayer team will be waiting for you at the front of the Sanctuary.

Members of the congregation are invited to serve on this ministry. Please contact Charlie Wright for more information.

Prayer List (Monthly)

Our monthly newsletter, The Chimes, includes a list of those we have been praying for as they work through illness, bereavement, or other life challenges. This list is always available on our Opportunity Table and the congregation is urged to continue prayers for our church family and the community at large. Prayer concerns are announce from the pulpit each Sunday morning with the permission of the person requesting prayers.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

God's love and caring can be expressed in countless way.  When someone is in need, a simple gift can make a meaningful difference.  Colorful shawls, the work of the Prayer Shawl Ministry, are provided to members and friends of our congregation.  This ministry welcomes anyone who would like to knit or learn to knit into this wonderful fellowship. Since ACC began this ministry, shawls have been given to men, women, and children in need of the compassionate touch of other Christians and in need of the healing power of the Holy Spirit. The Prayer Shawl Ministry also creates baptismal blankets that are presented by our Deacons to each infant receiving the sacrament of baptism. Contact Rev. Aiello for more information.
