Fall Adult Education offering

In the fall semester Rev. Emmanuel will lead a group at ACC to read Sarah Griffith Lund, Blessed are the Crazy: Breaking the Silence about Mental Illness, Family and Church (Chalice Press, 2014). Rev. Sarah Griffith Lund is vice president for Seminary Advancement at Christian Theological Seminary and comes from a family that is genetically disposed to bi-polar. Her book is deeply personal and spiritual. Interested individuals can order the book from Amazon. Rev. Emmanuel is arranging for Rev. Lund to visit ACC. The reading group will engage in broader conversations about mental illness and the church, and the role of the church in the country's present opioid crisis. Rev. Emmanuel has been attending meetings organized by the Central South Middlesex Opioid Task Force, and will share insights from these together with his own research on addiction.

Sign up is now on the Opportunity Table in the back of the Sanctuary.
